Yesterday was our first session- I want to thank the Pearl River County Team for supporting this MDA endeavor! Here is MDA’s info on the program:

Ambassador Program

The Asset Development Division’s Ambassador Program is a leadership development program that strives to build open communication between MDA and Mississippi communities. Through this program, MDA invites communities to keep the agency informed of local needs while becoming top-notch economic developers through participation in a series of forums.

The Ambassador Program is intended to build respect and understanding between community leaders and MDA. Presented in multiple locations around the state, these forums will cover the topics of industrial recruitment, financial assistance, community and economic planning, improving Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) responses, and relationship building.

Ambassadors will learn techniques to better utilize MDA’s resources to improve economic and community development strategies, with the ultimate goal of creating more local jobs. Participants will be required to attend three forums and complete all class projects to be recognized as an official Ambassador
