Purpose: Enrich the retail landscape by actively fostering and coordinating annual programs and campaigns. Drive increased support, retail sales, and patronage among our diverse membership.
Objectives & Activities:
- Devise and execute innovative programs to boost retail sales.
- Launch engaging campaigns to encourage patronage and community support.
- Collaborate with local businesses to enhance the retail experience.
- Implement strategies for sustained membership growth and participation.
Structure & Leadership:
- Monthly Meetings: Gather once a month, strategically scheduled before board meetings, to discuss progress and provide updates.
- Meeting Leadership: Chaired by dedicated committee leaders who guide discussions and ensure effective collaboration.
- Volunteer Opportunities: Members actively contribute by volunteering and assisting with events.
- Term Duration: Chairs serve a one-year term (December to November), providing an excellent opportunity for impactful leadership.

Purpose: Compiles an annual budget of estimated expenses and estimated incomes and then present it at a regular monthly Board of Directors meeting no later than the December Board of Directors meeting of each year for approval.
Objectives & Activities
- Report on an ongoing basis pertinent financial information and/or data.
- Monitor annual financial compilation and ensure timely completion.
- Ensure systems of policies and procedures that will assure protections of member’s assets
- Preparation, Review and approval of the Chamber’s annual operating budget.
- Monitor and review the activity of the Chamber’s investments.
Structure & Leadership
Purpose: Acts as the oversight for development and implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to the recruitment, retention and growth of the membership of the organization.
Objectives & Activities
- Monitor success of the group networking/purchasing discount program
- Review the dues structure to ensure the maximum revenues while preserving members dues equity
- Monitor the retention rate of the members compared to goals
- Assist in an annual volunteer member recruitment campaign.

RELATIONS
This functional area is directed by the Board President, Executive Board, and Executive Director. The staff liaison managing this committee is the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify as a member, your company must be a member in good standing with the Chamber. Each committee member must commit to the above-stated goals.
MEETING SCHEDULE
The committee meets monthly prior to the Chamber’s Board of Directors meetings.
COMMITTEE DEVELOPMENT
Actively recruit new members to the committee and the sub-committees.
The Committee Chair serves at the lead and guidance of the Chamber’s President. The staff liaison and Committee Chair are responsible for managing activities of the committee that coincide with the business strategic plan objectives of the Chamber.
Purpose: Works to develop and organize selected revenue-generating events for the Chamber. The Events Committee meets regularly to assess strategy, define goals and objectives and manage timeline and budget for each event. All members of the committee contribute to the success of each event. The committee engages many talents and meets on a regular basis to plan each event.
Objectives & Activities
- To add value to a member’s relationship with the Chamber by providing specialized events for Chamber members and community members to attend and expand their professional knowledge and contacts.
- To connect to decision makers at area companies and expand the Chamber’s reach by tailoring programs to their needs.
- To develop a yearly calendar of events-including, but not limited to:
- Plan Banquet.
- Plan Golf Tournament.
- Plan “A Taste to Remember.”
- To continue to improve upon the Chamber’s special events, and come up with new ways to attract members to events.
- To select speakers, locations, and topics for events.
- To work with the staff to identify potential sponsors for events.
- To collaborate with membership development committee to identify events that could meet member needs, and develop a marketing plan to advertise events.

MEETING SCHEDULE
This committee will meet approximately 6-8 times a year to develop topics, confirm program details, and evaluate the progress and eventual success of programs. Annually, this committee will meet to set the calendar for the following year, and evaluate the committee’s needs. Each committee member will be expected to help organize at least one event.
