Up to 4 team members are allowed on a team.

10×20 space provided.

Each team must provide its own crawfish, fixings, tent (if desired), table, equipment, and cooking supplies.

Teams must prepare at least 100 lbs for tastings.

The Chamber will provide the serving bowls for tastings.
Each team will also receive 1 event cup and 1 drink ticket per team member.

The gate opens at 7:00 a.m. for teams and will open at 11:00 a.m. for the public.

STEP 1: Read the Rules & Procedures.

2023 Crawfish Cook-off Rules & Procedures

  • The cook-off is open to amateurs and professionals, but there will be no division of these categories in judging.
  • The entry fee is $50 per team (non-refundable and payable with the entry form). Make checks payable to the Greater Picayune Area Chamber of Commerce. Drop off or mail the entry form and fee to GPACC-Crawfish Cook-off, PO Box 448, Picayune MS 39466.
  • Teams must furnish their own crawfish, cooking utensils, ice, equipment, tent (if desired), and decorations for their booth. The Chamber will provide the tasting bowls for each team. 1 (one) complimentary drink ticket and 1 (one) complimentary event cup will be provided for 4 team members.
  • Each team may consist of up to (4) members.
  • Teams can arrive as early as 7:00 a.m. on event day to begin boiling. Crawfish and fixings must be ready for tastings by 11:00 a.m. Doors for the public will open at this time.
  • Teams must prepare a minimum of 100 lbs of crawfish for tasting. (PEOPLE’S CHOICE WILL DECIDE THE WINNER)
  • Teams are allowed to prepare fixings to accompany their crawfish. A prize will be given for this also. (PEOPLE’S CHOICE WILL DECIDE THE WINNER)
  • Teams are responsible for maintaining clean and safe boiling and serving areas. Propane tanks must be in good working order and within code.
  • You are allowed to decorate your booth and/or advertising for your business but NO SOLICITING will be allowed. Leaving your booth to promote a product or to hand out political materials will result in your team being disqualified.
  • Attendees can vote during the entirety of the event. Votes will be counted at 3:00 p.m. The voting table will be monitored at ALL times by a Chamber of Commerce board member/s.
  • There will be a cash prize of $500 awarded to the winning team. Other special prizes will also be given to the winner.
  • The Greater Picayune Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to amend these rules, and teams will be contacted if changes occur.
